Shortly after returning home from serving our country in WW2, (Grandfather) Alexander Mohr opened up the family’s first hardwood flooring business in Colorado in the early 1950’s. Al’s Floor Service was one of the first businesses in Colorado to offer professional hardwood flooring services to residential customers. Just like his father before him, Alexander was a fine craftsman. Alexander enjoyed passing his knowledge on to his son Robert and other family members including his brothers, grandchildren, son’s in law’s, friends and many other family members. Today, there are currently 5 family businesses operating in the state of Colorado that date back to our grandfather’s original business.
“I started working with my grandfather when I was twelve years old,” says current owner of G3 Hardwood Flooring, Joseph Revord. “The one thing I remember most about working with him was the fact that nearly all his customers became friends of the family. He treated all his customers like ‘family’ and when work was being completed in his customers home he was essentially working in his own home. He taught me what it meant to put in a full days work.”
Today, G3 Hardwood Flooring takes the same approach to business as our grandfather did. Many of our customers become friends of the “G3 family.” We are proud to be a locally owned, family centered hardwood flooring company in Colorado Springs.
